Australian Association of Buddhist Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Supporting operations, events, communications, and initiating digital transformation.

At the Australian Association of Buddhist Counsellors and Psychotherapists (AABCAP) I work in a small team to support the executive management committee to achieve AABCAP’s aim of bringing therapists together to discuss, learn and study and implement the two disciplines of psychotherapy and Buddhism into their clinical practice and everyday lives.

In this role, I manage daily operations, including membership and directory coordination, newsletters, social media presence, website updates, and event production (online and in-person). I have also initiated digital transformation, including a new brand identity and website (launching soon), as well as IT infrastructure, modernising our online systems to improve efficiency, user experience, and organisational growth.

During my time supporting AABCAP, attendance for our clinical therapist event revenue has increased by 79%, and membership revenue has increased by 23%, which is to be expected as our membership offering is for a niche market.
